Two-Day National Book Fair 2026 Concludes with Enthusiastic Response
The Two-Day National Book Fair was successfully organized on 25th-26th March 2026 by JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) in collaboration with the National Book Trust of India (NBTI), at the JAIN Knowledge Campus, Bengaluru.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Prof. S. R. Niranjana, Vice Chairman, Karnataka State Higher Education Council, Government of Karnataka.
The Keynote Address was delivered by Dr. Ramesha B, Senior Professor and Chairperson, Department of Library and Information Science, Bangalore University, on the theme" Reading Habits: The New Social Flex among Gen Z." His insightful talk emphasized the evolving reading culture among younger generations.
The program was presided over by Dr. Jitendra Kumar Mishra, Vice Chancellor (In-charge) and Registrar, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University along with the presence of distinguished dignitaries including, Dr. Dinesh Nilkant, Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. Shradha Kanwar, Chief Academic Officer, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) and Dr. Pattipaka Mohan, Assistant Editor and Officer-in-Charge, NBTI, Bengaluru
- The event was coordinated by Dr. Meeramani N, Librarian, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University).
The book fair witnessed an overwhelming response from students, faculty, and book lovers. Numerous publishers and booksellers from across the country participated, showcasing a wide range of academic, literary, and competitive examination books. The event served as a vibrant platform to promote reading habits and connect readers with diverse knowledge resources.
The fair successfully reinforced the importance of reading culture in the digital age and encouraged Gen Z to embrace books as a valuable intellectual and social asset, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and meaningful connections beyond the screen.
