 Society Launch Ambitious Free Cancer Detection Initiative!


Five Medical Camps Already Held, Benefiting 500 People; New Target Set to Screen 100,000 Individuals Across Karnataka by 2026

Giostar Hospital Bangalore, in proud collaboration with Karnataka Cancer Society (KCS), has been conducting a series of Free Cancer Detection Medical Camps, marking a significant stride toward cancer prevention and early diagnosis across the region. To date, five highly successful camps have already benefited around 500 individuals, providing free screening and life-saving awareness to communities across Bangalore.

Building on this momentum, Giostar Hospital and KCS have set an ambitious goal: to screen at least 100,000 people across Karnataka in the next year. These camps focus on raising awareness, facilitating early detection, and referring those in need for timely medical intervention, particularly targeting underserved and economically disadvantaged groups a cause central to KCS's six-decade legacy of cancer care and community outreach.

Dr. Darshan Angadi, the Medical Director, spokesperson for Giostar Hospital, emphasized, "Early detection remains our strongest weapon against cancer. These camps help empower the community with knowledge, promote timely screening, and ensure that everyone regardless of their background-has access to vital healthcare. By joining hands with Karnataka Cancer Society, we are committed to driving this mission forward and touching 100,000 lives this year."

KCS, established in 1968, continues to lead with its mission to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families by promoting awareness, early screening, and affordable treatment. Their partnership with Giostar Hospital aims to further the vision of making cancer prevention accessible to all.

  ಗ್ರಾಮ ಸಹಾಯಕರ ವಿವಿಧ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳ ಈಡೇರಿಕೆಗಾಗಿ ಅನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಠಾವಧಿ ಮುಷ್ಕರ ದಿನಾಂಕ 9/6/2025  ರಂದು ಫ್ರೀಡಂ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ ವಿಷಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಕಛೇರಿಗಳ ರದ್ದತಿ ಕಾಯ್ದೆ 1961 ಅನ್ವಯ ದಿನಾಂಕ:1/2/1963 ರಿಂದ ಅನ್ವಯವಾಗುವಂತೆ ವಂಶಪಾರಂಪರ್ಯದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಹಂತದ ವಿಲೇಜ್ ಆಫೀಸರ್ಸ್ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳು ರದ್ದಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕೆಳ ಹಂತದ ಹುದ್ದೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ, ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆಡಳಿ ತಾತ್ಮಕ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಕಂದಾಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಗರಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ 10450 ಗ್ರಾಮ ಸಹಾಯಕರ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸೃಜಿಸಿ ಆಗಿಂದ್ದಾಗೆ ವೇತನ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದು 2007ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗ್ರಾಮಸಹಾಯಕರ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಖಾಯಂಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ 15000/- ಮಿತವೇತನ ಮಾತ್ರ ಪಾವತಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸೇವಾಭದ್ರತೆ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಸದರಿ ವೇತನದಿಂದ ಇಂದಿನ ಅಗತ್ಯ ವಸ್ತುಗಳ ಬೆಲೆ ಏರಿಕೆ, ತಂದೆ ತಾಯಿಗಳ ಸಂಧ್ಯಾ ಕಾಲದ ಪೋಷಣೆ, ಮಕ್ಕಳ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಗೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಕಷ್ಟ ಕರವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.  ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಅಧಿವೇಶನದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ನಡೆಸಿದ ಮುಷ್ಕರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಕಂದಾಯ ಸಚಿವರು ಮುಷ್ಕರದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಗ್ರಾಮಸಹಾಯಕರಿಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾದ ಸೇವಾಭದ...
