Bengaluru: In a moment of pride for the Congress party and the Indian diaspora, Dr. Aarthi Krishna, Chairperson of the KPCC NRI Cell, was formally sworn in as a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC). The oath-taking ceremony was held in the august presence of Sri Siddaramaiah, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, who extended his best wishes to Dr. Krishna on her new responsibility.

The event drew notable participation from international guests, particularly from Oman, underlining Dr. Aarthi Krishna’s longstanding engagement with the global Indian community. Among those present were Ms. Prema, Ms. Thankam, Dr. Latha, and Dr. Maria Mathew, who travelled to witness the milestone. Their presence highlighted the deep ties between the KPCC NRI Cell and the overseas Indian diaspora.

Dr. Aarthi Krishna’s elevation to the Council is seen as recognition of her sustained efforts in addressing the concerns of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and building strong networks that connect them to Karnataka’s political, social, and cultural landscape. Party leaders and well-wishers hailed the occasion as a significant step towards greater representation of the diaspora in state policymaking.

  ಗ್ರಾಮ ಸಹಾಯಕರ ವಿವಿಧ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳ ಈಡೇರಿಕೆಗಾಗಿ ಅನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಠಾವಧಿ ಮುಷ್ಕರ ದಿನಾಂಕ 9/6/2025  ರಂದು ಫ್ರೀಡಂ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ ವಿಷಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಕಛೇರಿಗಳ ರದ್ದತಿ ಕಾಯ್ದೆ 1961 ಅನ್ವಯ ದಿನಾಂಕ:1/2/1963 ರಿಂದ ಅನ್ವಯವಾಗುವಂತೆ ವಂಶಪಾರಂಪರ್ಯದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಹಂತದ ವಿಲೇಜ್ ಆಫೀಸರ್ಸ್ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳು ರದ್ದಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕೆಳ ಹಂತದ ಹುದ್ದೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ, ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆಡಳಿ ತಾತ್ಮಕ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಕಂದಾಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಗರಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ 10450 ಗ್ರಾಮ ಸಹಾಯಕರ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸೃಜಿಸಿ ಆಗಿಂದ್ದಾಗೆ ವೇತನ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದು 2007ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗ್ರಾಮಸಹಾಯಕರ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಖಾಯಂಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ 15000/- ಮಿತವೇತನ ಮಾತ್ರ ಪಾವತಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸೇವಾಭದ್ರತೆ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಸದರಿ ವೇತನದಿಂದ ಇಂದಿನ ಅಗತ್ಯ ವಸ್ತುಗಳ ಬೆಲೆ ಏರಿಕೆ, ತಂದೆ ತಾಯಿಗಳ ಸಂಧ್ಯಾ ಕಾಲದ ಪೋಷಣೆ, ಮಕ್ಕಳ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಗೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಕಷ್ಟ ಕರವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.  ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಅಧಿವೇಶನದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ನಡೆಸಿದ ಮುಷ್ಕರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಕಂದಾಯ ಸಚಿವರು ಮುಷ್ಕರದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಗ್ರಾಮಸಹಾಯಕರಿಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾದ ಸೇವಾಭದ...
