The flower market being built in GKVK has nothing to do with the relocation of the KR Market flower market: South India Flower Association President Arvind
- It is a false propaganda that 900 trees were cut down for the market
- Plan to build a market while preserving trees
- Bangalore holds an important position in the world flower market
- The cut flower market is a very popular place in GKVK.
Bengaluru, Sep. 4; The flower market proposed to be built in GKVK has nothing to do with the relocation of the KR Market flower market. The market proposed to be built in GKVK is a cut flower market that is sent to other parts of the country and the world, and the land earmarked for this is prime. South India Flower Association President T.M. Aravind has clarified that the market is planned to be built while preserving the trees.
Speaking at a press conference on this, Association President T.M. Aravind said that a well-equipped flower market is being built on 5 acres of land in the city's GKVK, and false news has been spread that 900 trees are being destroyed here. The market is being built while preserving the trees. Trees are not being cut here. If there are small plants, they will be relocated. The environment is not being harmed in any way, the flower market is being built in the interest of lakhs of flower growers. The long-standing dream of farmers is now coming true. There is no permanent market around Bangalore. Arrangements are being made to sell the flowers grown by farmers in Bangalore, Doddaballapur, Anekal, Hoskote, Chikkaballapur, Gauri Bidanur, and Kolar in the market. GKVK is an ideal place for all types of railway, air, and road transport. The government has planned a Rs 100 crore plan for this, and Rs 25 crore has been released, said South India Flower Association President Aravind.
Bangalore has an important place in the world flower market, and BKVK is a very good place to set up a cut owner market. International market is being built in Chudhariyali Rajya Neralam, Velugari Ilakh, Rvedi Evichi, Udichindi Natulodors Chu market. That is why, on the request of South India Flower Association, Esmatic Power Association, Small Traders Association, Traders Association, five acres of land have been allotted for horticulture in GKVK, and we have requested to provide five more acres. The land has been given on lease basis. But without knowing the real situation, some people are misleading the government and the common people. The market is being built without harming the environment. Arrangements are being made for the sale of the products grown by the farmers. But misleading the government and the people through false propaganda should be stopped immediately. Here, an attempt is being made to put an owl on the JKVK Vice Chancellor. T.M. Arvind alleged that some conspirators are acting against the interests of farmers and the prosperity of farmers.
Diwakar, the president of the Flower Sellers Association, is the representative of the flower sellers at KR Market. This association sells cut flowers including jasmine and chrysanthemum. Ours is to sell cut flowers. The market being built at GKVK is intended to sell cut flowers. We are exporting to the country and abroad. Now, the BBMP has instructed to vacate the flower market on S.P. Road. However, a request has been made to the higher authorities not to vacate it until the market starts at GKVK, he said.
South India Flower Association Secretary P.G. Raju and others were present at the press conference.
